It was a tiring journey for travelers in the early hours of today, 23 April, as students of the Federal University of Petroleum Resources (FUPRE) took to the Agbaro highway to protest the neglect suffered by the institution over the years, while demanding the Federal government to implement the FUPRE ACT in the 2018 budget.

The protest which lasted for hours saw one part of the highway closed down, and the other partly blocked by the protesting students, leaving motorists and passengers plying the route stranded in a heavy traffic jam.
